So we're getting settled into our new home after losing everything in the Valley Fire last Sept. here in CA. Here are the new daily drivers in the laundry room. (the "real" laundry room is under construction and should accommodate up to 12 machines) After some cleaning up and replacement belts, these both run beautifully...am curious of the age of the A407 washer. Serial # 490836WU. (I'm only versed in deciphering Whirlpool/Kenmore numbers)
Thank you.

Many thanks Christina for your help in identifying the vintage of the washer -- assume the dryer is the same. Thank you Frigidaireguy for confirming the dryer is indeed a Halo of Heat model as I discovered when I cleaned it up. More photos of the twins here per request.
I remember reading a thread a while back about locating replacement push buttons. The water temp buttons on my machine are looking a little tired and worn. Any extras for sale out there? Thank you all for your kind words. Never thought I'd say this but I'm really starting to appreciate beauty and simplicity of Maytag! |
