Hi guys,

Below is the link to a second TV story that has just aired here in Australia. 'Totally Wild' is a show primarily for kids and teenagers. Certainly I had much more exposure in this segment and even got to advertise for my 'holy grail'.

If you wish to see my story only, fast forward to about 9 minutes into the show

I do have to admit the Wilkins Servis wringer is not necessarily my favourite machine, but considering a lot of kid's and teenager's have never seen one working, I thought it was one of the more 'interesting' machines to show working.

Enjoy!
Cheers
Leon

Just updated the link, it plays for me. Just maybe you can't view it from overseas?

That could be it, because it's still won't play for me.

Wait, let me try Firefox or Chrome.

Maybe try another browser, Kevin. Chrome spat the dummy for me, although that might be the flash blocker at work. Sea Monkey seemed to work just fine.

An interesting piece, Leon. Would've been great if they had more space to go in-depth, but just having the opportunity to present "washer collection" as a hobby is a great start.
Actually, I saw something on "auction hunters" (or equivalent) show recently, someone in the USA with a huge collection of very early washers, wash-boards and that sort of thing. So this is definitely something that is beginning to see the light of day now.

Now that word is getting out about your collection, I suspect your collection might get some more air time in the future :)

I tried both Firefox & Chrome (I'm using Safari now) and when I'd click the arrow to play, absolutely nothing happened.

I had never heard of "Seamonkey" until now!   I downloaded it and tried it, but again nothing.

Oh well.  frown

That was a cool segment and you seem like a nice guy too :)

Impressive collection ive gotta say. Hope you get that Fabulous 89 you have the space for soon. Where did you get the repair manual and advertising stuff from? That is just the kind of thing I'm after for the early (500-700) Hoover top loaders. I saw the little thing you put up for the 565. Just wonderi g if you have anything else?

Thanks heaps!!

That was FAB Leon! (pardon the pun...) They're getting better by the week!
The illuminated control panel on those Simpsons is sweet sweet candy; you must have surely done a "Night Wash" with one of them in the dark sometime? Surely?...
Anyway, I hope that Holy Grail does turn up for you some day. That spot you've left for it in the collection is a bit like the "Siege Perilous"...

Very Best Wishes,
WishyWashy.

The video doesn't play here either. I guess viewing is restricted. Great that you were on TV again. You'll get famous!
