Hi all,

So I think that my washer might possibly be leaking oil. May tag dependable care model of some sort from the mid-90's. I dropped a rag underneath it, and it was full of grease when I fished it out. Stuck my hand under and the bottom of the washer is greasy/oily. But I can't really tell if the washer is just dirty under there and I never noticed, or if there really is a problem.

As I am totally blind, I'm hesitant to pull the unit out myself and check. However, is it worth having someone else do this or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks,
Ryne

Most Maytag's will leak a bit of oil. Without seeing your particular machine, it's hard to tell if it's excessive.
