I finally picked up my 1958 easy spindrier. it works great accect the two bottom levers on the dial do not move. at first I thought it was the two spots on the pump where the linkage connects. I tried lubricating them to no-advail. so I spoke to my friend tim about it and he said the trouble is not there but in the machine. he said there is a small box behind the controls where the valves are. he was saying that these always stick. although having them stuck open is better than closed because at least you can use the machine. I have been using it and its working so I wonder if I should leave it alone. please give me some opinions. I will post pics this weekend. thanks Bill

Congratulations, Bill!  I'm not a fan of twin-tub style washers, but the Easy would be my pick if I had to have one.

Here's the link to a fairly recent thread from the archives that describes the problem you seem to be experiencing.

Hope this helps!

I call my easy spindrier the silver cone because......

I need a center knob for my easy machine. If you view my pics you will see the absence of the timer know. I painted a pinecone finial silver and it works for the center knob. I cant use the timer with the pine cone on it . which is the only drawback. If anyone has one please contact me. thanks Bill

Have always been intrigued by Easy SpinDriers

But these machines seemed plagued by problems. Is it just age along with wear and tear or design. Bit of both?
