along with one that may or may not be bad. the original was swapped out during a repair along with the main control board. Not sure which one was the bad part but Miele suggested they were both bad so that is what we did.
The machine itself was working until the bearings/spider failed. It runs but makes a horrible racket spinning. Would be a good parts machine as we replaced a lot of things over the years (motor brushes, boards, boot, etc). Not sure what it would cost to ship to the west coast - I am in CT. If you want to try the old power board, I think it is still down in the basement and will send it to you for the cost of the postage. Let me know. Alan |

This happened to me too, about 2 years ago. The Miele tech guy came out and replaced the motor brushes and all was good! I remember him using a bent dental mirror to "do the procedure"!
The motor would turn the wash basket for washing and rinsing, but not for any of the spins. He suggested that if I want to prolong the new brushes, I should turn down the spin speed from 1600. Guy |

But, But the 1600 rpm spin is just about one of the most the most wonderful features of the machine. |
