So my home is done in all 1950s. I'm moving into a new home here in Cape Coral Florida and I'm looking for a vintage washer and dryer. I'm thinking an a Maytag Single Dial will be the easiest to come across. I just missed buying a white set. Dose anyone have a set or know where to find one! Please help!!!
Below is my Pink Stove I found last week! ;)

That KA set if you want a very reliable and clean washing vintage set you can use for many years and it is easy to fix on the rare occasion it needs it. I saw one of these sets last 18 years in a home with a blue collar dad and three young boys. That's a lot of laundry. I fixed each machine once and the dryer was fixed one other time during 18 years.

The best approach to vintage is to be open to all brands and at least a decade of possible model years. I languish in sorrow because I want very specific items that may never be available. |

John....LOL....only if I had that problem! I have only ONE vintage machine...white 1960 Frigidaire CI dryer in good condition...My best friend who flips houses found it and gave it to me...He was hopeful that I might find the matching washer .....
Just saying ....not to offend or to start some drama...I have been a member for two years and from what I have experienced and I seen in general...people like myself just starting out do not get much help or encouragement from the "group " ( members with museum collections )....I do realize they have spent many hours and money but so have I and other newer members! I have reached out to several members in very positive emails but I usually get replies with borderline nasty comments or "not interested"...which is ashame because I can offer and pay a fair price, etc. I can understand why most members have dropped out and no longer want to pursure their desire to collect. I know both the washer and dryer need belts, other than that, they are untested.
I have $75.00 in the set, I'd like to get that back out of them. But you can't insult me with a fair offer, if anyone is interested. |

If someone wants a Maytag DE750 electric dryer in turquoise let me know. I don't want to scrap it, but I will soon. I am tired of my driveway looking like I am a hillbilly |

I forgot you had this GE set, it looks great in green, the blueish panels really make it. I have that GE washer (white) and the matching panel from a gas dryer. I love that washer - GE standard capacity washers were very good, if thirsty, performers.
Hope you find a set that will meet your needs, Dave, that range you have is a stunner. Is that Westinghouse? Kelvinator? |
