Hello guys,
hope you are doing great. I'm starting this new thread to ask you for some help in determining the cause of a small leak coming from the door of my Miele G562 - I've been using the machine for 2 months now, but this issue came up just a few days ago (BTW, the leak is minor: up to 2 spoonfuls of water in the worst case for the whole duration of the cycle, it happens during the heated phases like main wash and final rinse).
Yesterday I removed the front panel (pic 1 - inside with leak marks; pic 2 - the bottom screw the water drops out from) and noticed the water marks on the inside which are of the very same color of the stain I noticed on my floor when I realized what was happening. As you can see, the lower part of the insulation is wet, and behind the gray band there's the lower front edge of the tub and the bottom gasket of the door.
I do believe it's just a matter of replacing the bottom door gasket (I can't figure out where that water would come from otherwise, there were no other watermarks on the inside of the door) which wouldn't be that bad as I can order a new one from Germany and replace it by myself without any troubles, but before doing anything I'd like to ask you for your opinion and advice.
Thank you for taking the time to read the whole story and for any help you can offer.
Have a great day in the meantime!
Ivan
