The same guy who gave us the recommendation for the OptiGrill (maybe I shouldn't mention that right now!!) also has this dishwasher.  He absolutely loves how it cleans.  However, he couldn't use the third rack up top because he has tall glasses that he said wouldn't fit.  One of these days I hope to get over to his house to see it in action but he swears you don't hear it running and he loves the zone booster feature.

Consumer Reports gives Samsung's Waterwall machines high marks for cleaning performance, but warns the brand has been very unreliable. I'm a sucker for new technologies, so I'd pick it up for this price and reliability be damned.

Samsung has some novel ideas about what can be cleaned in their Waterwall machines:

Unconventional Dishwasher Loads

I've been tossing things in the dishwasher for years that have raised some eyebrows. My son's bathtub toys got a regular machine-washing as well as Lego & other plastic toys bought at garage sales, etc. always got a Sani-Cycle run before being put into "service". I get better results with baseball caps in the front-load Speed Queen than the dishwasher, a bleachy Cascade wash of my first ex-husband's favorite cap brought on a day of silence but was quickly forgotten when the new "pattern" was complimented a few times. I used to have some shoe insoles from Birkenstock that would stand a top rack cycle now and then as well. I never run these odd items with dishes, they get a cycle all their own. It's nice to have the KDS-14 installed in the garage as the top rack can be removed easily opening up a whole new world of large items that can be cleaned quickly and thoroughly.

I'm pretty sure I have 3 of them new, out of box laying around in my warehouse. I'm pretty sure that they all need some sort of software update that will make them work correctly.
