So, I've been looking for a reverse rack lately, and when scanning the Kijiji pages here in Calgary, I found this. A Jenn-Air DU855W. Included in the sale was the original owners manual. This is a Jenn-Air clone of the WU1000. It is belt driven. As you can see, the control panel has yellowed thanks to the fire retardant chemicals in plastic.

The racks are in good condition, although they required some re-rack. I would like to find better racks. Minimal restoration was required, as the pump and interior was in very good condition.

Does anyone have a control panel to a WU1000 in any colour they would be willing to sell?

These machines are fantastic, and very forgiving when it comes to loading, and not to mention the capacity they have is insane. Everything comes out clean. I was expecting it to be loud though, but its a lot quieter than the GE machines I own.

Racks

You can find the racks for these beauties on ebay. They range anywhere from 80 to 100 plus depending on which ones you want. I suggest that you replace your bottom rack with the tier shelf on the inside instead of the outside for the simple reason you have more room for tall glasses all the way to the front with the opposite configuration. Also you loose a few inches of wasted space the way it is set in yours. These are by far some of the best dishwashers that made other than the real Kitchenaides made by Hobart... but for me I still love my Maytag. I have the model down from yours that is all pushbuttons with no dial. I actually have a second one I got for free that I found on Craiglist for a parts machine. Hope this helps you finding your new racks and BTW the ones this seller has are in very good shape. I replaced my top one from the same seller. Oh yeah a helpful hit... just type in eBay item number:401109254523 price is 75.06 or best offer with free shipping

Happy Maytaging

Steve
