Found this Westinghouse Laundromat on Craigslist for $100 located in Lincoln City, OR. Got it down to $50 and turns out to be a good find! More to come but here's a snapshot of it after we got it loaded onto the truck.

These are fun machines, I got one about 25 years ago and put a new boot on it and had fun with it.
Ours is still at the warehouse but last time we tried it the motor did not want to run.
These are one of the #1 fun vintage AWs to watch, but also tangle about as badly as a Unimatic and they don't clean nearly as almost any other AW washer of the time frame.
Hope you can get it running and post Videos for the folks that have never seen one run. |

are suds bad for a Westy laundromat? Jon's has a cool window and it's in excellent shape. It looks like the one in that Audrey Hepburn movie where she is blind. Is it "Wait until Dark"? I wouldn't know where to begin. |

That does look like it's in good shape! You'll have a lot of fun with it. Does your tub have the six vanes? (small ones at the upper edge by the front opening in addition to the lower vanes? I love how they flip the water around. I have the same model, it's fun to watch the suds slopping around the boot and clothes sliding over the "scrubbing dome" in the back. Congrats on a fun washer!

Sorry I don't have much info or photos. This one went promptly to storage since we're in the middle of listing the house on the market. I took a few more snapshots to tide us over until we get moved and out of storage. I can say that the belts look fairly new as well as the boot. It is very clean underneath and inside. I can't spot any rust. The timer knob turns appropriately and sounds like the cam(?) functions. This was still inside the home and was hooked up so it may actually fire up but will be some time before I get to that point.
