I assume these machines were designed to be produced at a cheaper cost than the helical drive machines. Were there other ways they cheapened them up besides the transmission? Common/major problems with these machines?
The brochures are great. You would never see the great action / parts shots today. |

I bought my mother an LSG7604AAL in 1994, the stacked set. The only things it's needed over the past 22 years are a new timer and blower wheel. She loves it. I asked her recently if it were to die beyond repair would she ever consider a new front loader set.....she said NO!
Somewhere in my house I know I have a complete Whirlpool catalog from the lat 80's that I'd love to scan in...but I put it in a safe place....... |
