Thank you for all the great rebuild posts they are proving most helpful. I was able to remove the spin tube and tub after grinding off rust highpoints. I'm not too concerned with the tub but I am concerned that the centerpost is badly rusted. Do you guys grind off the rust then just coat with POR15? I'd like my machines to come apart again someday because I have one whirlpool set at my vacation house and one set at my personal residence and those are both daily drivers. I ordered a new bearing kit so hopefully the parts place that says they will be in stock shortly will follow thru. I'm hoping the bearing kit will come with some good instructions on how to get the old bearings out. www.repairclinic.com/Part...
