Found almost a near-match to my long-lost (to the Valley Wildfire in 2015) Montgomery Ward Signature '74 washer! Just picked this up last weekend. Guessing vintage 1975-77. Looks fairly gently used. The guy I bought it from said it was his Mom's and it hadn't been used in years. Purrs like a kitten (and bangs like a Norge!). Now I just need to find room...for now it's relegated to the carport next to the '75ish Whirlpool set I got a few months ago. Trying to talk hubby into buying a larger home to accommodate my hobby! I'm trying to rebuild the collection I once had...

Subject matter horrifying enough to qualify for the DL forum IMO!

That's OK.  Somebody has to love these poor things.  laughing

Quickly moving on . . . Todd, did you ever get that avocado Kenmore in Woodland?

Ah, too bad, but let's hope that nice Kenmore found a good home.

Todd, my idea of having fun with a Norge would be so much different from yours -- but getting one up to the top of the Empire State Building could be a challenge.  sealed

Nice find - back in the Norge again. Congrats, glad to see you're building a new collection.

I think you're right about the later era of this panel style, the energy saver guides are an interesting variation.

Nice machine. You'll get your collection all back one day. I remember the fire. So sad.

Those are fun machines and do a great job cleaning. Just like so many other machines, better enjoy them now because what we take for granted today will be gone tomorrow.
Congrats on your find.

Thank you all for the kind remarks. That stupid wildfire really set us back emotionally. I felt so irresponsible for the loss of my collection that I wanted to preserve for a future wash-in. So I'm finally back on board and slowly rebuilding a new collection. As Gyrafoam said, these machines are becoming so much harder to find and although this one isn't really old, it sure will be a lot of fun!

Amazing

How cool that you found another similar in Harvest Gold! So happy for you. The matching dryer is out there and finding it's way to you also!

Congratulations.
