This is a wonderful agitator. The name change from Surgilator to Super Surgilator involved a switch from Bakelite to Polypropylene, where the polypropylene version got extended fins at the base the extend past the skirt to provide a greater degree of water movement.
I noticed something very interesting recently in Brastemp washers from Brazil that this fin extension was not introduced there, and their white polypropylene agitators have the old Bakelite fin configuration. So this leads me to a question, were any white Surgilators made this way in the U.S.? | ||
