BTW, it caught about 5 or 10 seconds of the final spin at the end... was there more? Jon |

That was fun! I really like the big glass door - the water sloshing around, the sound of spin was awesome! The sock in between the door boot and the glass was a riot, a bit of suspense added for fun! Would you mind taking a couple of pics of the rear of the machine? It would be interesting to see the construction, suspension, etc. Did Hotpoint always mount the motor on top of the drum like this? We aren't as familiar with vintage Euro front loaders and much of the design concept is fairly new to us. Thanks, Nick Greg |

Hi Tom, Have you any pictures at all of your Creda? We had a Creda (aka Hotpoint) from 1996-1998 and I loved it. Unfortunately my mother decided to get rid of it, if only back then I'd have nagged her not to! Jon |

Hi Nick well done on sorting the leaks n stuff, those Hotpoints really where the biz back in the eighties, and the motor on top is useful, even better on the 9934 range of washer dryers when the carbons needed replacing more often. Make sure you keep the sticker on the front for after its repaint etc.. Love those Hotpoint sounds, what programme was it on, it seemed like a gentle wash action?? Cheers Mike |

Hey nick. bit of a late replier here i've been away in spain, however better late than never! i've been dying to see that video from first finding out you had such a machine! it took me back to my childhood. the machine that was in existance when i came into the world was one of these models. i forget the number 18--- i forget lol 4 option buttons and a timer! it was fantastic and later replaced by our hotpoint 9534 which i adored. that died of bad bearings. the spins used to terrify me when it was out of balance. it would jump forward..i remember the day i discovered that when you turn the dial to the notch after spin and pull the dial it immediately goes into 1000rpm i shot to the back of the room before you could say Boo! lol.. many thanks for the video and best of luck with restoring her to her former beauty Darren |

Hiya I spotted your video on Youtube ages ago but I didn’t see you had posted it on here lol! Reminds me of my nan’s Hotpoint washer drier, but the interm-spins only went to 300 rpm for bout 5 seconds and then the rinse started. The distribute always sounds really sinister on old Hotpoints, especially when you can see it is unbalanced... lol, coz you know what’s coming. I remember when it was unbalanced once and it moved right across the kitchen lol, it scared the crap outta me (i was only little, lol) |
