This 1958 model Norge TOL model was my favorite and was a very fancy and handsome looking machine and set. This was probably the nicest looking set Norge ever built. The washer was the first 2 speed machine Norge made and this machine was very flexible as far as speed and temp. selections. It had a tall completely lit up console too and was the last of the "time line" models. This vintage of Norge washer did a better job of washing than any other machine at the time and rinsed and spun quite well too. It was a solid tub machine and did not have much capacity though. The dryers worked equally as well and usually lasted many years after the washer had been replaced. This vintage of Norge washers did have durability issues and seemed to require more servicing than most other machines. They seemed to have a short life expectancy. Many of this vintage of Norge dryers lasted many years and were still in service through the 70's. Not so with the washers though.
