I have a N2LP Maytag Chieftain. It has the Turquoise agitator. I need two brackets that hold the upper black roller in place. I hope someone has spare parts or know where I can get these items.

As you can see in the pictures, I have repaired these parts and fabricated other parts to make them work.

Will pay what you need plus shipping...

Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks you so much.

Yosef

Those are bearing hangers for upper roller IIRC.

Cannot help with the plastic versions, but have them in metal (Maytag switched later on for some reason).

I tried a couple of the metal ones and they take a different roller. Used the metal brackets and different size rollers in my machine and they both broke. I see you have metal ones that are larger and some smaller. I used the smaller or shorter size and they did not work. That is why I keep repairing the plastic ones.

What one do you think will work in my machine?

Thanks for all your help Launderess. I am not sure which ones would work in my machine.

You can contact Phil in Ovid, New York (his information is here in archives)and he would know am sure. IIRC he also sells those plastic bearing holders.

Cannot recall exact details at the moment, but from reading my Maytag service manuals the rollers didn't change, only they switched to plastic instead of metal bearing hangers. Seem to recall Maytag also says in place of one metal bearing hanger when replacing to use two. Could have that wrong and don't have my service manuals handy to check.

Metal

The metal brackets need a metal bushing on the roller to fit properly. The plastic bracket does not need that extra bushing on the roller. The rollers on the metal bracket that I used from another machine, the rollers were bigger than my rollers with the plastic bracket.

Yes, that is true

The metal bearing hangers need the "bearing", while newer plastic are "all in one" so to speak.

Again, contact Phil in Ovid, NY. He will have the answers....

Bottom Right

I see you have a metal bracket on the bottom row, first one on the right. It looks to have a longer shaft then the others. Do you have two of those with the longer shaft? Those might work.

Thanks
