In the process of trying to get one of our Westinghouse roasters working, we broke the glass temperature dial. It looked like it was broken before, but now there's a big piece broken off the back so we need a replacement, if anyone has one. I've attached a picture of the one I'm looking for. The good news is, the roaster is now working.

I have never seen so many of the beautiful Westinghouse 50s deep fryers for sale at one time on eBay. Search vintage Westinghouse. |

Kevin,
We have no clue why it wasn't working and why it started to work again. It was getting power and there wasn't anything obvious that we could see. Once we closed it up and put it upright again and turned it on, it started to heat up. The new knob came in today so putting that one on will be a project for this weekend. It is perfectly intact with no prior breaks from what we can see, so hopefully we can get this one on without any casualties. Once the new knob is on, I'll let it run for a while and check the temperature to make sure it's heating accurately. Jeannine |
