A few days ago Stephen and I went to Warrnambool for our weekly shop. Not far away is the tiny town of Mailors Flat. the town has a great little combination demolition/junk/antique shop that we visit occasionally. we haven't been there for a few years now so I thought it was time we paid a visit.

This trip revealed a treasure - a new in box Philips iron from the 1980s -not sure when exactly. came home with me for $5. A real Made in Hollland Philips. I have two other Philips irons, both are newer and made in Singapore.

I haven't plugged it in yet.

Rare enough to see small appliances that are actually made in the EU anymore. They used to be very common.
