Well, lucky me! I stumbled upon an almost unused turquoise KitchenAid agitator with the wide base and fins! YAY!!! All I can say is WOW! I love that the clothes aren't beaten to death but I also love that it can still move them at a rather fast pace! My only concern is the affect this will have on my DD Kenmore... I know NEVER to use the KA agitator on high speed, but the machine still seems to strain a bit on low speed... Is it normal for the outer tub to shift back and fourth a little bit while agitating?

Hi Jamie

My tub moves back and forth as well. At first I thought something was wrong with it as well, but alas, the book says it's normal. I actually took a video of mine shortly before I even read this thread for those curious as to it's action. You're right Jamie, it's VIGOROUS without being violent. I'll post them as soon as I can get them on YouTube.. Enjoy your turquoise..

Geoff

Is that high speed or low speed?

Looks like normal agitation speed to me, same as my 1991 KA.

It's "High" speed, at least to KitchenAid.

It's the "Normal" as opposed to "Gentle" agitation speed.

Looks sounds and works like my mom's Kenmore Elite but it doesn't have the SHRED speed that Kenmores have.
