New Universal automatic washer with exclusive gyrating "agitator basket". Does anyone have one of these machines or have knowledge to share regarding this interesting description of operation, could it have been similar to the new Speed Queen washer where agitator and wash basket move as one? |

Universal washers and dryers were made by Apex. Apex has what is refereed to as the "bouncing basket" Wash-o-Matic. There are only two Apex Wash-o-Matic's known to exist.

I rather assumed from this that the washer was a horizontal-axis rotating-drum machine - I take it that it was in fact an 'agitub' like the Apex? |
