Per the ad: "I recently acquired this antique beauty from my grandparents.

It is in excellent condition and my husband completely took it apart for a thorough inspection and to check all of the connections. It runs like a champ!

I have deep cleaned it and ran Affresh (diswasher cleaner) through it several times before running a load of dishes. I have used it several times since and it works great. The dishes come out shiny and clean.

I originally wanted the appliance to help create a retro style kitchen. The Dishwasher unfortunately does not fit due to the location of the water connection in my house.

This appliance is antique lover's dream!

Please PM me for inquiries. Would prefer pick up but would be open to shipping if costs were covered. "

WOW! This is the dishwasher my next-door neighbours had when I was in my teens.  I think it's older than 1969 because it has the infamous 'silver shower' spray arm.

Oooh, this is very tempting!!

Interesting dinosaur

A true TOL Front Load Portable with a backsplash, retractable stabilizing bars and many bells and whistles not to mention that label that cries "not used much". One question: it has a "Rinse-Glo" dispenser which operated by a lever pump that needed to be cocked with a button that was behind the dispenser on the front of the door. I don't see anything in these nice pictures that could do that. Maybe this is where GE switched back to a solenoid dispenser?

If only I or it were closer I'd love to have it even if I don't have any room for it.

Unusual GE Portable DW

combo52's profile picture

These were interesting DWs and if lightly used they lasted a good while, BUT they were flimsy and cheap and did not do well if used a lot and not babied, the whole construction of this DW screams CHEAP, the back of the cheap plasitsol tub is the BACK of the machine, talk about noisy and HOT, This was also the last of the useless GE DWs with the little Silver Shower Wash Arm that was supposed to help wash the SW, well if you look underneath you will see that GE built this DW without even connecting the wash arm to a water source, I wounder how many people wondered why this arm was always in the same position after a load was run, LOL. But this DW was built before the internet, if GE built something like this today they would be ridiculed to death for putting in fake features, they would have to get trump to promote it.   John L.
