Dilly dilly!
Can you imagine; you're house hunting, and you walk in and see a kitchen like that? When we were house hunting, we looked at one remarkably well preserved 1950s cape, and the huge first floor bathroom was all pink, and just like a time machine to the 50s. I think every original feature was present, and looked like the day the house was built! I SO wish we could have bought that one, but the price was just enough out of our range that we couldn't swing it. 🙁 I hope whoever bought the house appreciates it as much as I would have! What I usually would imagine while house hunting: Walk in and be informed (in a manner that is expected to impress) "And the kitchen and bathrooms were just updated last year..." *Wakes from a dead sleep in a cold sweat screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"*
When I eventually do go looking for houses I'll outright tell the person I don't want to look at houses with new kitchens. I'll specify what I want in a house, and I'm sure the realtor will hate me for it! LOL!! |
