Geez, every time I see one of these GE Fridges in turquoise pop up, they always seem to have the left-hand hinge. How weird is that?? AND until we moved to St-Lib, every other kitchen we had needed the left-hand hinge fridge....

Would that be in the 64-66 year range?

I think it would be, Ken. I'm dreaming of finding a turquoise '64 GE fridge to match the range I found back in March.

I believe the first GE is a '66 model. The handles were different on the '64 model, and also the '65 if I remember right (smaller and plainer). I knew several people with the '66-'67 models, in various colors. The next handle style (intro '68) was the woodgrain finish used into the 70's.

Thanks for the info. Here's a pic I found online of a GE described as being a 65. Handles definitely smaller as you stated.
