That would be a Maytag Stream of Heat dryer. That looks to be in great condition, drum wise. I wonder if that was even used at all.

Took a drive down almost to Mexico today and picked it up.
After clearing a pile of machines they are starting to accumulate again!

ZM serial number indicates a June 1977 production date.

Early SOH Maytag Dryer

These did not come out in models for the home till 1976.


MT started selling SOH dryers in 1973 as commercial models to prove the new design and the fact that HOH dryers were a disaster in commercial settings as


No one would clean the silly rear mounted lint filter in commercial use.


There are just too many foreign objects left in pockets in commercial use and owners were constantly replacing heating elements in electric models.


And the popular gas commercial HOH models were just too slow at drying.


And they were just too small for commercial use with users overloading machines.
