Always thought these were sharp looking, for their time. The appliance/hardware store in Early, IA had a two of these, never sold. A smoothtop and a coil version.

These are such a curiosity, I wonder how many were sold. Saw in another ad that the list price was $829, would be about $3700 in 2018 dollars.
Ad from the May 21, 1976 Des Moines Register.

It's good to see that the oven is dirty. That might mean that the magnetron is still alive. John and Jeff said that it was so poorly located and insulated from the oven's heat that the self clean cycle killed them on a one to one basis. |

Are you going to get it Greg ?
Litton sold a lot of these interesting ranges, but of all the Micro-Thermal-Ranges built and sold Litton's was the most poorly built and diffidently the most troublesome.
The best of the MTRs were the GE-HP then the Caloric-Amana followed by the Roper-Kenmore ranges.
We have a Litton MTR at the museum kitchen, that actually has TWO microwaves in one appliance, it has the combination lower oven along with an upper MWO over the cook-top. It is the only cooking appliance I have ever seen with two MWs in one appliance.
