just curious

Having never had a Maytag washer, I am curious what the spin speed/water extraction ability was. Was it a spin drain or neutral drain like a Whirlpool?

Looks like it has the deeper tub, which is a good thing.  These do a spin drain.  I think the top RPM it reaches during spin is 700 or so.

618?  Wow.  I think that's even slower than our Raytheon Amana was.

"618? Wow. I think that's even slower than our Raytheon Amana was."

A sign of the times. A GE Filter Flow spun at 610, belt drive WP/KM standard capacity spun at a paltry 525 and the larger capacity machines barely maintained 500. Not sure what Norge was spinning at but the 1970's washer I played with seemed to be somewhere in the 600's. A Frigidaire 1-18 topped out at 660!
