I have my Miele Touchtronic W3033 apart at the moment as I needed to replace part of the watercontrol, and while I have it apart I'm cleaning all the hoses. Does anyone know how this little peg or pin is removed that holds the air chamber for the water level pressure hose on? I'm not sure if it's glued in or what, but I dont want to break it. Just thought if I can take this piece off as well I can clean it out, clean the gasket etc. It's number 38 on the diagram, and it's the plastic peg piece that goes through the chamber tab into the cast iron counterweight.
It kind of looks like it's a one time use peg that is pressed in and but there is a nub on the outside that looks like it might pull out etc. I'm not sure. Thanks, Andrew (formerly vacfanatic) |

Its a plastic peg which I have pulled with grips and replaced. I have reused it without issues. You can spy one in this video |

Found how the peg comes apart and out. Scroll to 3:12 in this video. Center of peg pulls out, then the fastener can come out.
