I'm new here and thought I'd share this with you folks. I picked this up for 40$CAD today.

It's well used, but it works fine with no obvious issues. It's my first old washer and I mostly bought it because it looked neat, though it's not my first vintage appliance.

I believe from some research it's a late 50s early 60s model.

Be interesting to see that agitator perform on a large load.

Beatty washers offered two different agitators...

The one pictured must have been quite rough on clothes, the principle being that it dragged the clothes through the water, as compared with the other more traditional agitator that pushed water through the clothes.

Both types are featured in this vintage instruction sheet...

The agitator looks very much like early Maytag "gray ghost" agitators. Jeff
