Cool, but it might be better to leave it in the box if the choice is having to cook on it, LOL

6 "Knobs"(for lack of a better term)

It has 6 knobs. What are they all for? I see the Oven Temp knob on the left but what is the other one for on the right? Is this a self cleaner?

I don't think it's a self-cleaner - the knob on the far right may be a selector for bake, broil, or timer-controlled bake modes. Kinda like a GE/Hotpoint...

My Aunt Eloise had an earlier version (probably 1971) in Avocado with black glass door. It was purchased for the new home they built after Hurricane Camille. She didn't like it as well as her previous early 60's Frigidaire.

Well, there must be some potential even for an electric range with the control, panel done in the metal used for the rest of the unit, and in a color on its way out in that decade...

Nice to see the printing on the box specially made for that appliance right down to it in Avocado, when did that practice suddenly stop?

John is correct

Kenmore ranges were probably the worst thing they ever sold The didn't bake worth a hoot on anything that baked quickly like a layer cake The lack of top heat really did make a difference, At higher temps things like biscuits did fine as did pound cakes which took more time but I tried to bake a chicken pie in one once and had to turn on the broiler,,lol

That's why using the PREHEAT setting and getting stuff in the oven as soon as the heat cycled off was so important for things where you wanted a nicely browned top.

Continuous cleaning kills any appeal the poor range might have had.
