Washing machine lets water in at start of wash after initial pumpout sequence but the soonest it must start with wash programme it stops with error message above as quoted.
Can someone please offer any suggestions as to what may be wrong?
A local repair technician told me that there may be an internal leak?

That message means "Technical fault, please call service"
Does it show an error code (F something something something)?
It is not an internal leak, if it was it would a) never allow you to do anything after the float switch tripped until you drained the machines drip pan and thus resetting the water proof system float switch and b) it would display a different error message (Something along the lines of "WaterProof system has been activated, close faucet and call for service).
Does the machine ever turn the drum? Does the machine ever fill?
Depending on programming version this machine either does a static initial fill or the slow, short, alternating tumbles during fill.
If it does tumble during fill, this could either be a motor\inverter issue (this should have Mieles inverter motor) or a pressure switch issue.
If it dosen't tumble, I suspect the pressure switch or along the lines.
Of course it could always be a PCB issue as well.
If it dosen't show any F error message, you'd have to dig into the service menu to get a more specific diagnosis.
Does it do that on any cycle, like the spin cycle?

the machine starts the initial drain as per normal operation when you press start to a programme
the machine then starts filling for a few seconds but then stoops with the warning message to call for service.
NO DRUM TURNS
I HAVE TO MANUALLY DRAIN THE MACHINE AFTER THIS TOO AS I CANT SELECT DRAIN OR SPIN
AS PER YOUR POINTING TO A POSSIBLE ANSWER I THINK IT MIGHT BE PRESSURE SWITCH OR PCB TOO
ALSO I AM NOT SURE IF TOO LOW WATER PRESSURE MIGHT BE A CAUSE OF THIS AS WELL?
