Whats the story?

What is the story behind this? What do they do with them once the get them in Mexico?

From what I understand, the workers there test them, patch the up so that they run, and then sell them. I guess brand new ones are quite expensive and a used washer is all most families can afford. This supplier says he scraps all the dryers as there is no market for them at all, but the Mexicans will take all the certain brand used washers he gets in.

Well its good to hear that they still have a life ahead of them. People are to quick to replace everything even though the new stuff is nothing very special its seems to be such a waste to scrap everything.

Amazes one how many people will by a "cheap" washing machine, and put it on a Sears card carrying interest rates that organised crime would envy. For a $100 washer, based on minimum payments they probably end up paying close to $300.
