I have a 1998 Speed Queen with a porcelain wash black inner tub
I have noticed a very small chip in the basket and it also turned opaque, until it'll last I will keep it but I was wondering if I can put one of the stainless ones, and if there are various types of tubs and what changes, I think i have once read about different bolts? Do I have to change tranny? And if you know the exact part number of the tub that will fit mine. Thanks. |

there is a different bolt pattern between the porcelain tub and the stainless...
there are four bolts that hold the 'agitator shaft' to the spin tube main bearing housing assembly.....this is what needs changed out or rather specific to each tub... why they did two different ones, no one will ever know... in any case, if you pull from one machine to switch out, make sure to pull both pieces.... |
