Thomas and I picked up this Kenmore Calypso for Thomas yesterday (cheap) and in spite of the sellers description, it seems to do everything it's supposed to.... so far.
This afternoon while tinkering with it, I noticed there is a gap between the wash plate seal and the tub. It's not big enough to get my finger into, but it is big enough for coins, paperclips (etc) to slip past it with ease. Based on the noises I hear when the tub comes to a stop after spinning, sounds like a couple things have slipped by.
So the question of the hour is, will it still be OK to do normal laundry in, or is there a chance of fabric damage, or items getting stuck or.....?
I've seen it posted here that Calypso parts have been NLA a while now, but the question is: what to do next?
Thanks! |
