Saw an ad for a pink kitchen and thought I saw a tiny piece of a dishwasher so asked the seller. There is indeed a dishwasher, but there is no water in the house to test it, but it does power on. House to be demolished at the end of the month so it needs to go soon.
I've attached the link to the ad that shows the other appliances available and the seller's contact info. You'll need to make an offer if you're interested in just the dishwasher, but he is willing to ship! CLICK HERE TO GO TO spacepig's LINK |

Thank you for thinking to get a picture of the dishwasher for the club. |

Ralph, all 4 section, the dishware faced to the center. If you had more dinner plates than dish loops for the two main center rows, you could evenly distribute them around all 4 rows of loopps, starting with those farthest from the center, provided the dinner plates still cleared the upper rack. But that was predominantly why dinner plates were placed in those two loop rows because of the curved height of the upper rack. I always thought the arrangement made a lot of sense and ended up having more capacity than KA 10-12 series bottom racks Plus there was space in the two back corner, facing to the center from those two corners conducive for cereal bowls. Rest was filled in with salad plates, saucers and such. Upper rack outer sections against the outer edge could hold more saucers, fruit bowls and such. |

I have never seen Suburban builtins in porcelain, only stainless and fake copper. |

A very cool time capsule kitchen. I too like the dishwasher, and even if it's not as rare or interesting the stove caught my eye as well.
But something I'm really curious about is the inset under the cabinets. It has the funky flower pattern with a Nutone badge.
Does anyone have any info on it?
I know Nutone made/makes range hoods (among many other things) but this is installed over a bar/countertop and not a range, stove, or cooktop. Is it a light maybe? You can tell the fluorescent bar is illuminating the countertop but this hood casts a shadow so it could still be a light for the counter/bar.
I like the charm of it, The tulip chairs you can barely see in the darkness are interesting as well.. I wonder how long this house has sat unused, or how long the former owner kept it this way before passing away/moving out. |

That's just a range hood, to which someone has applied some nasty contact paper. In your second pic there is a decorative element "supporting" the upper cabinets, to the right of the hood. In this pic of the cooktop, that element is visible to the right of the cooktop. Not all of the pictures in this ad were taken at the same time, as in one the cooktop and counter are covered with "stuff" and in the picture of the cooktop itself all of the counter has been cleared.

I couldn't resist... If I know my dishwasher history, Waste-King tied with Hotpoint in 1958 for the introduction of a multi-cycle pushbutton selection, so I had to get this right? The seller seemed happy to know it was going to be saved. A big shout-out to Jeannine for posting this and getting all the information she could about this one!
I'm now scrambling to find shippers who can take it to a fellow collector's place in Ohio where it will be stored until I can get my sorry behind out there again. I already have something very, very special waiting for me on the NY/PA border... It's gonna be a busy spring! |

I found several transporters via UShip and booked one. They cancelled on me 15 minutes after I'd booked. I'm not too familar with UShip but all my other quotes that I received were set as "declined"; I think I reactivated my request but I'm not sure...
Not panicking yet, but if anyone is in the Indianopolis area and knows of a shipper, please let me know.

How wonderful ! A dish machine that lights up and has a big select-O-dial, what's not to like. "Warning, Paul Turquoisedude" --I just watched "Lost in Space"-- both Jeannine and Sarah love turquoise appliances and have been signaling such, so beware next Halloween for a prank. You had better train the pooch to guard the turquoise. On another note, I have a splendid shipper in downstate NY whom I could contact if you're interested; let me know. So nice to see so rare a machine collected by a master. |

".Maybe I'd better keep my beat-up Focus wagon a little while longer... LOL "
I am so surprised by now you don't have a Climate Controlled Hydraulic Lift Gate, 4 wheel Drive Box truck with a Mobile Shop and Climate Controlled Interior for Rescuing Appliances in the Northern Hemisphere. I think You and Phil should partner up on one. ; ) |

To Spacepig!
It took nearly 9 months but I finally was able to pick up the Nutone Range Hood from this listing this past weekend. The pandemic hit right as I was initially negotiating through Marketplace, and a few other stumbles along the way but got back in contact recently and things worked more smoothly this time.
There is about 50 years of layered grease on it but it's cleaning up beautifully. The stainless steel/chrome just shines like new.... on about 3 inches of it, I think I may need a chisel for this cleaning project
Thank you very much Jeannine for posting this originally.
PS the sellers still had the wall oven, range top, and pink sink when I talked to them last week, in case there's any renewed interest.

I was curious about your dishwasher Paul, as I re-read through this thread. I had wondered if travel restrictions threw a wrench in getting it delivered, but it's good to know it's still in safe keeping here in the states in the meantime.
Gotta imagine it makes you look forward to next year even more so, in a whole other way than the general consensus that 21' has gotta be better than 20' was.
