Following-up a post for help on Facebook, so sorry if you think you have seen this before: Anyway, it's another non-starting Hoover!

I have an A3586 'timeline' Hoover Logic model with a problem, after being unused for 18 months. After selecting the wash programme, the timer keeps clicking but the timeline indicator moves with it. It doesn't stop and start a cycle. Is this a common fault with an easy cause?

Here's the video link:

Any advice appreciated - thanks so much.

Hi Rob

it's most likely the follower cam in the timer, it's just inside the timer behind where the shaft goes in, that's the mechanism for the preselection, so when the shaft is turned, a sort of lug is pulled in, the timer then rolls around to catch up with it, when it does, it slots into place and switches out the rapid advance and starts the programme once the door locks, probably just a sticky mechanism, not a five minute job sorry.

Not much help I know, hope all's well with you
