Hello All- I just acquired a 1986 Kenmore Portable Washer. It is in pretty good shape and I use for my regular washing in my small condo. Every once in a while there is a slight leak coming from the front left side of the machine. I have noticed that this might be due to suds overload.......just a guess at this point. It does not do it all the time and I have been trying to adjust the soap that I add to the machine. It seems to get real sudsy and I am finding that this machine does not require much soap at all. Any insights would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there is it possible that your machine has old soap in it from its previous owners? Are you able to fill it with really hot water and maybe some dishwasher detergent or a washing machine cleaner and see if that helps at all ??

I would pop the top, and observe it in action....to possibly see when and where the water is showing up....

there should be an overflow plastic sleeve down the side of the inner workings....dont be surprised if some water from the machine itself is just splashing up and over, it can happen....
