I know everyone has their own opinion on Maytag halo of heat dryers. Personally I like them and I usually pick up every one I come across. I guess I like the mechanics of the machine even though it might not have been the best design. I think they are excellent dryers when it comes to dependability and noise level during operation. They dry great BUT they were designed to match standard tub Maytag washers and in my opinion their maximum load size is medium at best. I picked one up last weekend really for no reason because I sure didn’t need it! Hope someone that would appreciate it saves this one.

From my experience they are good dryers, and the gas HOH dryers are more or a Rube Goldberg setup with the felt seals and standing pilot but are still good dryers for what they are. Converted my DG606 to a DG306 since the electronic dry control wasn’t working and it hasn’t given me any trouble since I put it into service last June
