those old bendix front load machines! as a kid i remember my aunt jackie had the only front loader washer in our family, a bendix and i used to love to watch it operate! all those suds in the window! and that wonderful quiet gentle swishing sound as it tumbled. such wonderful memories!
only to be topped by my mom's norge timeline automatic washer with that huge metal sudssaver unit attached to the end of the drain hose that i was completely fascinated with! and then my aunt mary got her 1965 coppertone rollermatic custom imperial with rapidry and i went completely nuts! been a goner for washing machines ever since! |
