Not a fan of the controls in the back but it sure looks nice.

The house my parents bought in 1978 had that cooktop in brown--7 heat clicker knobs. Worked fine, though you had to clean underneath carefully. It was shallow cooktop so there was a drawer underneath.

Nice.  That stove could easily be turned if you want the controls closer.  I get why they did this though.  The large "heavy work" burners to the front and the smaller warmer burners to the back and the controls back out of the way.

These look well cared for.

Ralph, I ha a buddy of mine from college whose parents built a new house in Dallas with a KDC15, about the time of the end of the 15 series.  They had an avocado Hotpoint 36" cooktop with the exact same arrangement of controls in the back.
