Greetings all. Daddy’s got a new toy! I am again living in New York City in a rental apartment. Needed to replace my Maytag brand portable dishwasher, as the racks were rusting terribly. The cost of replacing them was prohibitive. More about the old dishwasher at the end of this post.

Prior dishwasher. Maytag. Acquired used in 2013 via Craigslist. My research indicates it was made in 2004.

Nice dishwasher! But it's a shame that virtually every single photo displays sideways for me, with the exception of a couple that are upside down and I think just one is the right way up (photo #3 of reply #2). They appear the same on my iPad with Safari and my MacBook Pro both in Safari and Google Chrome. |

are you referring to member "Washdaddy", or "Toggleswitch Rick"? |

"I don't expect it to be a TOL dishwasher"
There aren't too many models made anymore as portables. Most brand only have one, of any. "I doubt it would pass the "cake test". Is that really realistic? All that grease clumped together. I doubt the owners manual would encourage that. "I first blamed my two dogs, thinking they were peeing on the floor, but then one night i pulled the dishwasher away from the sink and realized there was a small puddle right in the middle of it" I wouldn't rule out the dogs. They may just have good or creative aim. |
