What to do if you are in Mansfield Ohio and have a Westinghouse slantfront with a bad motor, bad bearings, bad timer and bad heating element? Turn it into yard art of course! Clothing will be changed to reflect up coming holiday. Note the bushel basket being used for a laundry basket

I love your slant front Westy!

That is the exact model that sparked my lifelong interest in washing machines.  My favorite aunt had a matched set of these in her garage.  Back it the 50’s when TV didn’t have much to offer in programming watching the laundry tumble around in that slant front was almost as entertaining as TV.

One of the most beautifully simple washers ever built IMHO.

I love that model too.  First largescale machine I took apart, rebuilt pump and spin drives.

So simple a 14yo can fix it. cool
