Try and get a hold of a genuine Maytag drain hose off of the last generation Dependable Care line from the mid 2000's. An old school mom and pop appliance store will probably just let you take one off an old machine that was exchanged for a new one. Most commonly available universal drain hoses these days are corrugated and these machines don't jive well with them. |

Corrugated plastic will work just fine if it is large enough, it needs around a 1" inside diameter for the entire length.
MT switched to corrugated plastic hoses on these washers the last few years they built them with no ill effects.
You do not want a rubber hose like the ones Launderess said were posted on Ebay, that type of hose will kink and restrict water flow if you just look at it.
