What was the first year for a look in loading door on a Westinghouse dryer, please? It is mentioned in this ad along with rinsing so thorough it even leaves the washer clean. AND, you don't need to change speeds or agitators to wash delicates. That bit aboaut the agitators referenced the Norge Ripplet, an agitator with bumps instead of fins to make their one speed washer safe for woolens and delicates.

Dryer window...

I'm going to guess when they went to the D5 or Definitely D6, maybe 1951-52?

A friend had an old windowless Westinghouse dryer that was his grandparents. It worked but that cabinet got very HOT. Lets Make a Deal today had the BIG DEAL from 1963. Complete Westinghouse kitchen, a/c, slide in range, dishwasher, washer and dryer plus a sxs fridge. Retail then $2000.

Look-in doors on Westy Dryers

The 1953 models with the rounded-V-shape styling around the window, and "Clothes Dryer" in stylized script above it. All but BOL models had window on the door through 1963; they went back to a solid door when the styling went "straight line,"
