Maybe...

Because I'm in Tucson, it's not showing for me? Or because I don't have Facebook?
Kenny would you please send the seller a message for me, asking if they would sell one of the dryer doors & lint filter?

Because the ad is not coming up for me with the links, but other Facebook ads that are local to me come up with both links you posted above?

Sorry Christina!

I had the same idea. A window on a Maytag drier would be most excellent! I'll keep you in mind if I spy any winowed Maytag drier doors in the Boston area for both of us! If anyone else is interested in a windowed door, we should look out for each other and leverage the collective. I've seen these come up from time to time, but it's usually a huge lot or too far away. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the next opportunity!
Chris

Kenny - Thanks as always, for all your postings from online sellers! I'm always grateful every time you share rare finds like this.

Christina - I saw this post today after not being on the site for a week... when I excitedly opened the post and saw that Gold color I immediately thought of you. What a bonus in that there not only was a potential door for myself but that it was in your sought out replacement color, so that you might benefit too. I clicked through the link without even reading the thread and sadly found out what Kenny mentioned later on within it... that the listing was marked sold.

Not enough sad face emoji on this site to express that feeling but cry cry cry cry anyway. haha.

If it helps with Facebook Marketplace in the future, you can do what I did and make a throwaway account for Facebook. I'm not a social media person at all, and don't connect with people that way, so I never had an inclination to make an official one. Instead I created one with a pseudonym and signed up with my email address instead of using phone number. It allows you to have access to the basic Facebook tasks like viewing and interacting in Marketplace, sending messages to others, and reading public posts in peoples profiles. But doesn't put you yourself directly out there in case you're not really all that into social media and don't want to make your life public.

Chris - Sorry you missed out as well, but, that is a great idea in looking out for others interested in a windowed dryer door to pimp out their 808 Maytags. I've had a similar arrangement for awhile now with a very cool lady on this site smile. I will keep you in mind as well if I land on anything in the future.

They are hard to find for sure, and don't show up too often on here. We followed up on some that were posted back in March, one seller quit communicating with us after a couple vague replies, and the second seller had them listed way too high and wasn't interested in selling cheaper. I keep looking though.

Chris / Sprog

If you should happen to come back to this post... Your idea about keeping each other in mind for these windowed dryer doors made me think I would see if you might be interested in helping me figure something out. There is a new wrinkle (pun intended) with one of these dryers I've discovered and I thought we might talk about it.

If it's alright with the board in general we can talk about it here or you can just email me directly, my email is included in my profile.

Thanks!

-Corey

Chris & Corey...

Sorry I haven't responded, been going through some issues on my side of the computer.
That would be great to get a count of how many members would be interested in a MAYTAG windowed dryer door. And if another lot comes up for sale, we can all figure how much for each dryer door. Or something like that, along those lines.
I'd be interested in doing something like that.

What do others think about a plan like that? Could something like that work?

Sounds like a plan to me. I know from searching through the forum archives these have come up a lot where several people have wanted or found them to upgrade their 808's

Also here are all the images from this seller's listing, saving them for archival purposes and since you couldn't access all of them before.
