I’ve been avoiding the classified sites lately due to lack of space but I had a weak moment and of course found something I couldn’t pass up. These came from the estate of an elderly couple that passed and the home was sold. The new owner used them for a while before discovering the washer was leaking water.
Lucky for me they were listed for sale. Tinkered with the washer yesterday and it has been leaking at the tub to manifold trap seal for a long time so once again I’m expecting the worst from an ‘82-‘86 belt drive. They must have really reduced costs on material and craftsmanship during this time. I knew what I was getting into before going to look at it. I couldn’t pass up a limited edition.

There aren’t any problems with the dryer that I am aware of. The toggle switch for the console light is sticky but the light will come on if you mess with it enough. Hopefully some silicone spray will work on it. I know a lot of folks here prefer the 29” models over the 27” but I like both of them. Being owned by an elderly couple the are in great condition exterior wise.

Washer model: 110.82294100
Serial: C54204412

Dryer model: 110.96195100
Serial: MB1102766

The washer is the last of the BD and the dryer matches a DD washer.

Yes another wayward set finds a safe haven. The purchase date for the dryer was 5-20-92. I found it written in the manual where you are supposed to. It wasn’t done with the washer. These days I believe an owners manual consists of numbers and pictures. If there is a manual.

You can definitely tell just by looking at the washer that it has a better paint job and also the shiny white tub. Hopefully when I get into it I’ll find that the outer tub is repairable and the center post isn’t shot like the last one I saved.
