The value-priced $189.95 1958 frog-eye Kenmore would be $1208 in today's world! (And many people are in the mind set that spending $1000 for a front loader today is way too much money.) No wonder today's agitator top loaders are in the state they are in. This gives one an idea of how cheap modern machines really are and why they aren't like the machines of yesteryear.
