Those machines were made by Primus for Maytag. Alliance Laundry Systems bought Primus several years ago and did not continue to make the washer for Maytag. Whirlpool who owns Maytag and ADC is building there own multi load washer under the Maytag name. |

So the only REAL Maytag commercial front loader is the Maytag Neptune? |

These were quite popular and held up quite well, My Brother Jeff maintained a condo building that had 16 of the coin-op Maytags in it and they kept them over 10 years which is about as long as MT DC or even SQ TL commercial machines would have lasted in the same use.
These 16 MTs were replaced by 16 WP built MT Commercial TL VMW machines about 5 years ago which have been a disaster in terms of performance and reliability

Why is it that the VMW machines are so unreliable, in your opinion? I think I went to this building with Jeff shortly after the new Maytags were installed, we played with one of them. Has WP improved some of the components in the design as they did with the "commercial" labeled top-loads for the home market? |

I've used one of the machines shown in your first photo a few times at a local laundromat. I was pretty impressed with the machine overall. The simplicity of a hard mount machine is pretty awesome.
I have to admit the idea of drilling holes in my basement floor came to mind after a few times using this machine. |
