After 10 years of moving in with my husband, I found out that the dishwasher we are replacing was never used. It being vintage I don't know where or how to start in selling it. I'm hoping to get something for it to contribute to fixing other things in the house :-)

I would like guidance in learning more about it and sell it at a reasonable price.

Caloric [ D&M DW ]

That is one rough looking DW for something unused, but even if it was new in a box the best thing to do is let it get crushed and recycled for scrap metal, these were truly miserable DWs by the time this was was built.

The other thing that you need to consider is the huge amount of water and detergent it is going to consume in its relatively short life, if used.  It does not even have a wash arm under the upper rack that would allow loading flexibility and greater capacity. There is not really much to make this old machine desirable.

Thank you for trying to save something. Good luck with your renovation.

I have to agree with John

I bought and installed that dishwasher in my mobile home in the mid 80's. I honestly think the dishes came out dirtier than when they went in. Plus it frequently overflowed so you could never walk away from it. And LOUD !! Geez!! It was a nice looking dishwasher though, and you can change the front panels to white, almond or black.

So I won't feel bad if I leave it for collection? If the pros tell me it's junk, I'll toss it. Thank you!
