Following up on the leaking issues with my Frigidaire washing machine, my dad finally fixed it yesterday.

Over the past few weeks, we had tried a couple of "universal" drain hoses. One was a gray hose from Amazon, and the end which connects to the washer's drain pump was too small, and thus wouldn't even connect. The other one was a black hose from Lowe's, and it would not fully connect to the drain pump.

Well, my dad found the model number of the old drain hose right on the joint which connects to the washer, and found the exact same replacement hose on Amazon for $30. It arrived yesterday, so he installed it, and now the washer works great! It's not leaking anymore.

This goes to show that OEM parts work a LOT better than generic parts. We are back in business now.

Any improvement with the out-of-balance issue?

Yes

This new hose now reduces the OOB issues. I also found out that the short hose, which connects the tub to the pump, was kinked, so that's why the washer was draining a lot slower than usual. But now that the drain pump is screwed back onto the washer, the water is draining properly.

Last night, I washed a huge load of towels, and the washer went OOB only once during the final spin. I moved the towels around a little, and the washer was able to balance everything out.
